Australian Government Innovation GrantA cluster of Broken Bay schools successfully applied for an Australian Schools Innovation in Science, Technology and Mathematics (ASISTM) grant for 2005-06. The project - “ Improving achievement in Mathematics through pedagogical innovation ” - focused on action research in Mathematics pedagogy and involved a cluster of primary and secondary schools on the Central Coast . At its conclusion, the project was judged to be very successful. A CD-Rom containing detail of each school's project, the outcomes and support materials is under production and will be launched in March 2007. While the focus in each school varied, the emphasis on improved student learning was central to the overall project and was evidenced at each school.
