Leadership strategy launched in Broken Bay Catholic Schools

The 2011 school year commenced with the launch of the Diocesan Leading Learning 2011-2012 strategy. Br Tony Whelan cfc, Director of Schools, launched the strategy at a Leadership Forum held on Tuesday January 25 at Hornsby RSL. Over 260 principals and teachers from the 43 schools across the diocese participated in the forum. A team from the University of Auckland’s Centre for Educational Leadership (UACEL) has been engaged to partner with the Catholic Schools Office in the design and implementation of the Leading Learning Programme.  Professor Viviane Robinson and David Eddy from UACEL led a rich and engaging programme through which principals and teachers explored the implications of international best practice research in leadership for school planning. In opening the forum, Br Tony Whelan commented that the strategy would further strengthen what is already a high performing system of schools.
