National Catholic Education Commission launches website on Catholic school funding

 

The Federal Government is conducting a sweeping review of funding for all schools- government and non-government, including Catholic schools. There will be a new national system of school funding in place from 2014.

The National Catholic Education Commission (NCEC) has launched a new website entitled “Catholic Schools into the Future: Government Funding from 2014”. 

The website is intended to inform principals, staff and parents about how Catholic schools are funded now and how they should be funded into the future.

The website addresses the key issues in relation to Catholic school funding including funding certainty, affordability, supporting students with disabilities, and the impact on regional Australia; as well as providing answers to frequently asked questions.
