Functions
The key role of the Director and the Office of the Director is managing and administering the Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Broken Bay in accordance with the:
- requirements of the Bishop
- requirements of the Diocesan Schools Board
- Statement of Purpose for Catholic Schools
- Diocesan Schools System Strategic Plan
Responsibilities
The Director of Schools is responsible for:
- advising the Bishop on religious, educational, administrative and financial matters
- overseeing the implementation of the Diocesan School System Mission Statement and the Strategic Plan
- implementing Diocesan Schools Board policies including the location of educational facilities and resources
- administering all schools within the Diocesan school system
- appointment of staff of Diocesan schools and the Catholic Schools Office
- managing and administering the Catholic Schools Office
- representing the Catholic Schools Office on national and state organisations
- administering, on behalf of Board of Studies NSW, Diocesan Schools compliance with the requirements of the Education Act 1990 and other relevant legislation - Schools Review
