Human Resources

Human Resources (HR) is primarily concerned with the formal relationship between the employer and the employee and with the techniques and methods aimed at making the relationship more effective. Human Resource Services has responsibility for all matters to do with employment including:

recruitment and selection;
orientation & induction;
on-going conditions of employment;
performance appraisal;
contract renewal;
professional learning;
leadership succession;
performance management and disciplinary procedures (grievance);
resignation; and
termination.
