A research centre opened by the University of New South Wales in September 1997 to provide an establishment for excellence in research, teaching and services for gifted education.

Department of Education, Science and Training

The Australian Government has recently put in place a number of initiatives to improve the education of gifted students. One of these initiatives was the development of the Gifted Education Professional Development Package, by GERRIC. The Package is designed to cover the most essential information every teacher needs to know to address the needs of gifted students.
